When a tornado ripped the roof off of their office manager’s home, the guys at Roof Time Contractors in Waxahachie, TX, came together to help.

The story began Dec. 26, 2015, as Tabitha Taylor’s 13-year-old daughter was enjoying an after-Christmas get-together with some of her friends. The younger siblings played elsewhere in the house while the grownups chatted in the living room. Then all of a sudden, the sky grew dark. Lights flickered. Taylor asked her husband to go turn the generator on. But when he opened the door, a noise like a jet engine roared through the house.

“Run!” Taylor screamed, pulling everyone into a tiny bathroom in the hall.

The ordeal was over in seconds. Everyone was safe, including the family’s two dogs. But the brick-and-stone house that she and her husband had lovingly designed as their “forever home” was destroyed.

As the family rebuilt, Taylor's co-workers at Roof Time installed a new Atlas Pinnacle® Pristine roof, at no charge. (See photos above, which show Taylor's house after the tornado and during the rebuilding process.)

While National Roofing Week takes place only once a year during the summer, Atlas Roofing wants to take this opportunity to thank and celebrate the contractors who continually perform good deeds all year long!
