For decades, the Manila Community Center has been a hub of activity in Manila, AR, a rural town adjacent to the Big Lake National Wildlife Refuge. It has hosted wedding receptions, civic events and even professional wrestling. However, the center's deteriorating roof was beginning to make people nervous about using it for future events.
